First worn: Phoenix Comicon 2015
This is actually a costume my mom made for my sister back in 2000 when I did the movie version of Minmay. My sister doesn’t even like Minmay, but this outfit is so hilariously tacky I guess she thought it would be fun to do. I’m actually not sure which reference this is based off of, because a few pieces are a different color. Anyway, my sister gave this costume to me after she was done with it. It’s not something I would have chosen to make, but now that I have it I think it’s fun to wear, because it IS hilariously tacky. I just love Minmay, and actually this outfit matches better with the Hikaru costume I made for my husband (also TV version), so we wore them together! Older fans definitely appreciate seeing these old classics!
