First worn: Anime Expo 1999
Sailor Mars is a very important character to me, as she was one of the big reasons I got into anime and cosplay.Β It was love at first sight when I saw her, and she remains by far my favorite Sailor Moon character.Β I discovered anime conventions and cosplay while searching the Internet for Sailor Moon websites, and wanted Sailor Mars to be my first cosplay.Β Eternal Sailor Mars became my first masquerade entry at Anime Expo ’99.Β The Eternal version has always been my favorite, and back then I had never seen anyone cosplay it. Sadly, this costume was never quite finished, and I only wore it once.Β Cosplay has come a long way since then, and I’d love to remake this someday.
