First worn: Anime Expo 2013
I have many friends who are Rumiko Takahashi fans and love series like Ranma Β½ and Maison Ikkoku, but I never could get into those series. I loved the Mermaid Saga and found Urusei Yatsura amusing, but I wasnβt really a BIG fan of any of her seriesβ¦ until Inu-Yasha. I remember I was SO excited when I first started reading Inu-Yasha. I was excited about Kagome because I thought she was really cute! A friend warned me that since itβs Rumiko Takahashi, and with a premise like βgem shattered into thousands of pieces and we have to find themβ, that the series would be extremely long and drawn outβ¦ but I still liked it! AND I ACTUALLY READ THE WHOLE THING. AND IT WAS GOOD. Itβs probably the only long series Iβve ever completed. The characters were just so cute and charming, I found myself always wanting to know what happens next! I love Inu-Yasha as a character too. <3 I still have not watched a single episode of the anime. Iβm not sure I have the patience, because you can only watch so fastβ¦.
I was never 100% happy with my sailor uniforms from before, so I took this opportunity to pattern a new sailor uniform top, after having learned how to properly pattern-draft at FIDM. My mom sewed the costume for me though!
