Scones!

Berry Scones in a Royal Albert Old Country Roses Dish

Scoooooones! β™₯Β  Scones are one of my favorite things about tea parties.Β  I’d actually never had one before I started doing Lolita tea parties with my friends.Β  Now I love them!Β  My husband likes to tease me about them, because there’s an anime we both love called The Mystic Archives of Dantalian, and the main character squeals so cutely over scones.

Occasionally I make scones at home.Β  I really like the berry scone mix from Trader Joe’s (scones pictured above).Β  It’s easy to make too, just add water and bake.Β  I suppose I need to work on making them prettier… but they’re all going in my tummy anyway.Β  Now, I don’t bake often, but one day my husband saw a recipe for “birthday cake scones with vanilla icing” and asked me to make them.Β  I do believe it was the first time I’d ever baked anything from scratch by myself.Β  I was trying to avoid temptation….

Scones with Rainbow Sprinkles

They’re really just vanilla scones with rainbow sprinkles in them.Β  I decided to add my own touch and made the icing pink. πŸ˜‰Β  The scones turned out well, although the taste was nothing special.Β  My husband enjoyed them, so I guess they were a success.Β  Recently I made more berry scones, and I threw some sprinkles in there too, because why not?Β  Everything is better with rainbows in them, right?
