First worn: Fanime Con 2006
POCKY GIRLS was a one-time subgroup of Morning Musume created for a Pocky commercial.Β The members had “Po” nicknames, and each member represented a different Pocky flavor. Ishiβ Po was Rika Ishikawa for Men’s Pocky.Β It just so happens that Men’s Pocky is my favorite Pocky flavor, and Rika Ishikawa is my all-time favorite member of Morning Musume!
The costumes were a little rushed (baggy tops, missing the front stars, and not nearly enough fabric for the neck ruffs), but I made five of them in one week for Angel Hearts, so please forgive me.Β We had Chocolate, Men’s, Strawberry, Almond, and Milk Pocky, and carried around boxes of our Pocky flavors.Β My teal matched the box of Men’s Pocky perfectly!Β We performed the dance for “YES! POCKY GIRLS” in the Fanime Con 2006 Masquerade.
