~♥ About Us ♥~

Angel Hearts was started by Kie Shimokawa in September 2003.  She gathered a few cosplay friends who were fans of J-pop, and Angel Hearts made their debut singing songs by ZONE and Hello! Project at anime conventions in Southern California.

A couple members of Angel Hearts had been dancing ParaPara for several years, so when J-pop group HINOI TEAM became popular in 2005 with their covers of classic ParaPara songs, it was a great opportunity for Angel Hearts to branch out. They did their first ParaPara performance in 2006.  By pure coincidence, there was a J-drama that same year called “Gal Circle” which featured a ParaPara club called Angel Heart.

In early 2007 the first IDOLM@STER console game was released, and Angel Hearts became instant fans — in fact, they did their first IDOLM@STER performance, the arcade version of the song “THE IDOLM@STER”, the same weekend the console game was released. The game is a perfect setup for cosplay performances: lots of cute girls, catchy songs, fun dances, and endless costume choices, all packed into one anime-style video game.  Angel Hearts is now mostly known for their IDOLM@STER cosplay and dance covers, but they still love J-pop, ParaPara, VOCALOID, and other idol anime as well.

Angel Hearts is currently on hiatus, as many members have recently become new mothers (all to boys, oddly enough). They still love idols and performing though, and hope to return to the stage again someday.
