Many years ago, I bought some Sally Hansen nail strips, shuffled them into my collection, and forgot about them. Then more recently, my sister introduced me to Color Street nail strips, and I thought nails strips sounded like a great idea to try right now, as a mom with a toddler, since I wouldn’t have to wait for them to dry. They also make all kinds of neat designs that turn your nails into instant art! Convenient and fun! So I dug out my old Sally Hansen strips and gave these leopard ones a try. Fortunately they were still good (nail strips can dry out and become unusable with time)! They stretched a lot and were a bit too sticky, and I’m not sure if that’s because they were old. There’s a bit of a learning curve to applying them, so putting them on wasn’t quick. I messed up the edges in some places, but fortunately it’s hard to tell with the leopard pattern. At least I didn’t have to worry about ruining my nails once they were done! And they lasted quite well, too (over a week). Hopefully I’ll get faster at putting them on once I’ve had more practice.
These are the Color Street nail strips I bought from Glimmer Gal Nails. So many fun and colorful patterns! They have solid colors and glitters, too, but I already have so much nail polish, so the patterns appeal to me more. The two black patterns are on a clear background and are meant for layering! I’ve also seen people do some neat designs by cutting up the solid colors and layering those. I can’t wait to try one of these next! I bought the second batch when this year’s holiday collection came out a few weeks ago. I took advantage of some deals to get some extra sets. 😉
I also got these nail strips from the ORLY x Lisa Frank collection! [Affiliate link] I was so excited when I saw them, I just had to grab them right away. My childhood! These are going to be so fun to wear, I have to resist the urge to hoard them.
