Can you believe it’s Morning Musume’s 20 year anniversary?? I can’t! So many of the former members are married and have kids now too. That makes me feel so old! Morning Musume is the group that got me into idols. I first heard about them in 2000, after the release of Koi no Dance Site, which I thought was a noisy song and didn’t like. I became a fan after the 4th generation joined the group. Now Morning Musume has added its 14th generation!
For Morning Musume’s 20th anniversary, the current members have collaborated with all of the first generation members to form a special unit. This is the first time Asuka Fukuda, who was the first to graduate Morning Musume, has made an appearance with the group since leaving! How exciting! Aya Ishiguro was my favorite first generation member, so I’m happy to see her again too (and looking so pretty)! There is also a 20th anniversary version of Morning Coffee, Morning Musume’s official debut single. How nostalgic! The 20th anniversary album will be released in a few days, with these two songs as well as some new ones, including a song sung by all of Morning Musume’s leaders. I am looking forward to hearing it!
