More Halloween Memories and Halloween Cats

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween!  This time of year is rough with a preschooler – we’re constantly sick.  We didn’t end up doing anything for Halloween except hand out candy.  My son doesn’t eat candy, and he wouldn’t dress up, but at least he enjoyed his school Halloween party.  He also had a field trip to a pumpkin patch and got to bring home a pumpkin!  And then when we went grocery shopping the day after Halloween, we got a free balloon.  My son loves balloons, so he was super happy… aside from getting sick again the next day.  Sigh.

Here’s a picture from the neighborhood Halloween party two years ago.  I decided to go comfy and wore a simple black knit dress with orange cotton leggings and rainbow legwarmers to match my rainbow hair.  My mask had rainbow crystals on it, too.  I bought new rainbow fairy wings for my son and the cats, one large and two small (after Zertoo destroyed the first one), with the ambition of getting all three of my boys to match… but of course, all three of them refused.  Oh well.

Last year, however, I was able to get my son to wear this adorable kitty jumpsuit!  It’s so cute and snuggly!  Oh yeah, and my son loves to drink water, so he likes to walk around with his water bottle hanging out of his mouth.  Silly boy.

My son got this mandarin with a jack-o-lantern face drawn on it at school last year.  What a cute idea!

Now I DID manage to get Zertoo into an astronaut costume last year.  He’s such a good sport, but he didn’t like the helmet and disposed of it pretty quickly.

Tassadar escaped last year, but THIS year, we managed to wrangle a beautiful Tassaflower Lion.

Hopefully next year we won’t be sick so we can enjoy Halloween again.  Stay healthy, everyone!
