Here’s a casual coord from 2017 with Angelic Pretty’s Meringue Tartan 3 Tier Frill JSK in black. Even though it’s a Lolita dress, it’s a bit on the short side. Unfortunately I don’t have any full body shots, but I wore the dress with a pink puff-sleeve tee and black leggings for a casual and comfortable look.
This was one of many dresses I bought from Closet Child (a secondhand Lolita shop) when I went to Japan in 2017. I even wore it while I was still in Japan, with a plain pink turtleneck and black leggings. It’s a super cute dress without being over-the-top Lolita, so I feel it lends itself well to more casual looks.
When I came home and found the dress on Lolibrary, I saw there was a blue and pink colorway, and I was disappointed I had missed out on it back in 2012 when it was released! Still, the black is a more versatile color, and I feel lucky to have found it. I also love the bows on the back of the dress, and the way they played with the plaid pattern on the skirt. I love everything about this dress!
