I hung this super sparkly Swarovski crystal suncatcher in the kitchen window so it would make happy rainbows in my kitchen. ππΒ It’s nice to have the room bright and sparkly when I’m doing chores.Β Unfortunately with the way my house and windows are positioned, the sun only hits the crystals directly for a few hours a day, and only in the fall and winter (but not in December, when the days are the shortest). Now that it’s spring, “rainbow season” is over for me.Β I’m not too sad though, because the days are longer now and there’s plenty of bright sunshine and flowers outside my window. And the crystals are still pretty even when they’re not making rainbows!
As you can see, I had fun taking pictures with different color lens flares.
I also hung these lovely angel and heart suncatchers above my back sliding door, but so far I haven’t found any time of day or year when the angle is right for the sun to hit them. I guess it would be pretty distracting if they made rainbows all the time, anyway!
