Once upon a time I was a stage ninja for Kirby in a NINTENDON’TS skit for Masquerade (San Diego Comic Con 2008). It’s not cosplay, but I dressed in all pink for the occasion. 😉 Usagi Auron made the Kirby. There’s a giant beach ball inside, so it’s pretty light!
Oddly enough, I didn’t play any Kirby games as a kid (NES/SNES era). They’re colorful and fun, so I’m not sure why they never caught my attention. It wasn’t until later (after Smash Bros. Melee) that I went back and played Kirby’s Adventure for NES. It was cute, and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. When the SNES Classic came out, I finally played Kirby Super Star, and I loved it! I love both the aesthetic and the gameplay, so it feels weird not to be more excited about the series because I’m missing the nostalgia factor. I’m definitely going to have to check out the newer Kirby games!
