Hello Kitty Ramen Gift Set

The other day I picked up this Hello Kitty ramen gift set from Costco, of all places.  Actually, it was a pack of two sets, each containing a ramen bowl with chopsticks, a package of Nongshim Spicy Shin Noodles, two flavored soy sauces, and some furikake.  Normally my husband and I are not the biggest fans of these spicy noodles (I won a whole case of them at KCON one year), but we’ve been so sick this past month, my husband literally said just a few weeks ago that he was craving some of these noodles to help clear his throat.  When we walked by these sets at Costco, we both knew immediately that they were coming home with us.  (This post contains affiliate links.)

I had seen Silver Buffalo’s Hello Kitty ramen bowls before (and other characters, including Sailor Moon!), and now that I own a couple basic ones, I’m eyeing some of their other cute designs. I’m thinking this blue rainbow one and this pink rainbow sprinkle one… but this one with all the Sanrio characters is cute too!  And then there’s Pusheen…. ahhh, I can’t decide!  By the way, if you like giant mugs, this Hello Kitty and Friends one is ridiculously large.  I hope no one uses that for coffee.  But they make plenty of smaller ones too.  There are also plates, sushi sets, and glasses.

Now I know the Nongshim spicy noodles are popular, but I can’t help but feel like they missed an opportunity to package the Hello Kitty ramen bowls with Hello Kitty noodles!  I think I also bought this case of A-SHA noodles from Costco one time.

A-SHA also makes Hello Kitty cup noodles in four flavors.  They’re not bad.  Definitely nowhere near as spicy as the Korean noodles!  But I suppose you don’t need the cute bowls if you eat these. 😉
