My hair color was getting pretty faded, and I had some blue hair color I wanted to use up, so now I have blue ombre hair! I used Adore’s Indigo Blue hair color [affiliate link], although it came out more of a teal blue. I added the color to freshly shampooed, towel dried (but still damp) hair and waited about two hours before shampooing it out. Even though it came out lighter than expected, I still love the color. I have more blue color left over, so in a few weeks I’ll try coloring my hair again when it’s dry and see if that helps. By the time I took this photo, I had already washed my hair again twice, so it may be faded a little too. One great thing about having ombre hair is that it’s lower maintenance. I don’t have to worry about touching up the roots as my hair grows out. I can go a year or more without having to bleach my hair again, which I trust only my stylist at the salon to do, since I have very fine, dark hair. Bright colors may fade quickly, but I can easily add new color myself, since that part does not damage hair.
So…. now I’m like a cross between Shiburin and Chihaya, right?? ♥
