First worn: FanimeCon 2000
My sister and I wanted to play up the fact we are twins, and we loved Pokemon, so we decided to cosplay Officer Jenny! It was also our first attempt at a simple Masquerade skit – we came on stage one at a time to trick the audience into thinking there was only one person, and then we both came out! It was fun, and we got a great reaction. 🙂
Our mom made the costumes, and I styled the wigs and made the symbol for my hat. I don’t even remember which town I used. Now here is a good example of “making do with what we had” back in the day. Horrible shiny acetate satin? A wig that’s nowhere close to the right color? That’s all we could find back then. Thank goodness for the resources we have available today!
