First worn: Photo shoot, Spring 2009
I love Kasumi and have been meaning to make some of her other outfits, but this is the only one I’ve gotten around to so far. I played a lot of DOA in college and came to adore this cutie… and her partner Hayabusa. *_*
The image above is from DOA2 (which is what I played a lot of), but I say my cosplay is from DOA3 because I wore my hair down, which you couldn’t do with Kasumi until DOA3. Also I think the DOA3 version has more stripes. This outfit just kind of happened. Actually, I bought a costume uniform from Japan because I wanted to inspect the materials and construction (like with the cheerleader uniform). The navy blue long-sleeve uniform is a classic. I then realized that I could put on my auburn wig and I had an instant Kasumi cosplay! The costume from Japan was actually too short for me, so I ended up selling it and asked my mom to make me this uniform. I knew I could probably use this uniform for other characters, too.
