First worn: Anime Expo 2002
I was seriously obsessed with this song. It’s still one of my favorite Hello! Project songs. This shuffle group features Rika Ishikawa, who is my all-time favorite member of Morning Musume, and Aya Matsuura, the super idol, the idol of idols… but before she was really that well known. I was upset that I couldn’t be Rika because I liked her outfit better (I HATE that lampshade skirt) but Ayaya is my #1 top idol and “Chu! Natsu Party” was my favorite song and outfit, so I was still really happy to do this. At that time I was the only one among my friends who already knew who Ayaya was and was a fan of hers, so it worked out. The outfit is so bright and colorful, and *squeee!* THAT CUTE PINK FLIPPED WIG. We hand-painted pink spandex for the tops and the flowers on the skirts. I used buckram inside my skirt to make it stiff. This outfit was fun to wear and I was really happy that a few people recognized it. USA Musume entered AX’s karaoke contest, and we used this as our second round song. We did the dance too!
